GVBKYS Background and Structure

• GVBKYS was originally known as the Honeoye Falls Bill Koch Youth Ski League founded by current GVBKYS Leadership Cmte member Ruth Hayes.  Please see the About GVBKYS page for summary background information regarding our club.
• We are a New York State Ski Racing Assocication - Nordic inc. (NYSSRA) affiliated club program.  NYSSRA also provides our liability insurance.  We require all participating families to be NYSSRA members.  The first year is free; annual memberships after the first year are $35.  Link to NYSSRA website for more information and registration:  http://www.nyssranordic.com/
• GVBKYS is a Function of the Rochester XC Ski Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Public Charity.  Additional donations to GVBKYS and RXCSF are tax deductible. 
• The GVBKYS Leadership Committee meets 2-3 times per year to set long range plans and the program for the current season.  Feel free to contact the Program Leaders or Cmte Members at any time.  (Contact info on our Contact Us page.)
• The GVBKYS Leadership Cmte has established 1/3/10 year plans for maintenance and growth or our program. 
• GVBKYS Has 4 Skier Groups.  We have the 4 groups to assure that each child will be working at the appropriate development level.  It also allows the coaches to develop better working relationships with the kids in their group.
• GVBKYS has a heritage of Volunteer and Parental Involvement.  Please consider helping to make the children's experiences the best they can be!
